A profitable day for motorcoach drivers

Your Federation

The Saint-Jérôme Centre de formation en transport hosted for the very first time the Colloque des conducteurs professionnels (Professional Drivers Seminar), organized jointly with Contrôle routier Québec and the Bus Carriers Federation.

During the day, drivers attended information sessions on important aspects of their work, mainly:

  • American Driving Hours, presented by the Saint-Jérôme Centre de formation du transport routier;
  • Custom and Road Inspections, presented by Contrôle Routier Québec;
  • North American Fatigue Management Program, presented by the Société de l'assurance automobile du Québec;
  • PECVL File of a Professional Driver, presented by the Commission des transports du Québec and McCarthy Tétrault.

In addition to meeting exhibitors there especially for the event, professional drivers had the opportunity to test a driving simulator and do road tests with Motor Coach Industry (MCI) motorcoaches.

PREVOST skills competition

For a third year, drivers had the opportunity to show their dexterity on a route specially set up for the occasion during the Prévost Skills Competition. The Federation and its partners extend their heartfelt congratulations to the winner of the Prévost Skills Competition, Mr. Charles Rocray, a driver at Groupe Gaudreault. Mr. Rocray was awarded a trophy, plus $500 in prize money provided by Prévost.
